The story so far

Kingston Peridot was lost near Iceland in January 1968. All 20 men aboard died. Together with St Romanus and Ross Cleveland, her loss is remembered as Hull’s Triple Trawler Disaster: 58 men lost across the three vessels. Behind those figures were individual lives and families; their memories deserve space here.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE VESSEL

20 men recorded as lost in 1968. This is the memorial loss list, not every crew member who ever served on the vessel.

Spellings follow the contemporary memorial-service catalogue; some later memorial transcriptions differ. Corrections supported by family documents are welcome.

Vessel sources & research

Researched October 2026. This is a growing vessel record. Crew-list coverage and dates are explained above; a name’s absence is not evidence that someone never served. Corrections and documents are welcome at info@hessleroad.com.
